This CEM system includes a
Model 200/1 Methane / Non methane FID
Hydrocarbon Analyzer, a Model 300/2 CO / CO2 NDIR Analyzer, custom built 14
point sequencer, combustion & zero air generator, hydrogen generator,
external sample pump, approximately 5000 feet of Teflon sample tubing,
monitoring point vaults mounted in the concrete, monitoring point filters, Allen
Bradley Programmable Logic Controller & programming, Pentium II PC with
custom data acquisition software with graphical user interface, Sensaphone 2000
alarm reporter (fax, e-mail, voice, pager), color printer, Uninterruptible Power
Supply, 5HP gas evacuation blower, and telephone.
This system is designed to automatically switch between 14
sample points every 7 minutes and measure the methane and the non methane
hydrocarbon at each point. If the concentration is within acceptable
limits the system automatically switches to the next point and records the
data. If the concentration is not within acceptable limits, the system
will alarm, send faxes, pages, phone calls and e-mails to appropriate personnel,
turn on the gas evacuation blower, and record all alarms. After two hours
the system will resample the point and move to the next one if the concentration
has dropped. The system can also be controlled and the data can be
retrieved from a remote computer anywhere over standard telephone lines.
